Bastille Day
Bastille Day is a French national holiday that commemorates the storming of the Bastille during the beginning of the French Revolution. The celebration actually starts on the evening before July 14 with numerous balls and parties held around the city.

When the big day finally dawns, the skies over Paris come alive with jets flying in formation as a military parade led by the President march down the Champs-Elysées from the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde. Thousands of people then come together in the evening at the Champ-de-Mars to watch the spectacular fireworks light up over the Trocadero.
